Logbook for Pilots
logitPPL is a pilot logbook for Android for logging pilot flying time. The EASA version is for European pilots and is Jar 1.080 compliant. These aviation apps will log, chart, backup, filter and summarise your flight time data. The apps will also get metar & taf information and give date warnings. The EASA version provides extra functionality. See screen shot pages.

logitPPL Lite - flight tracker - display flight track using Google Earth
I have added flight tracking to the app. The app records gps coordinates and saves them to a file. The file (which is a kml file) is used off the android device on a PC. Google Earth recognises the kml file and displays the flight track. See example page.

Android 4 rollout
My xoom updated to Android 4 this week and my logitPPL lite version works well. Hopefully the other tablets and handhelds will get the new version soon. This is good from a developer point of view because I have one less version of the app to maintain. On the down side, I do not have a tablet with honeycomb to test.
I’m working on flight tracking functionality, initial testing looks ok. It allows you to track a flight, save a file to a pc and show your flight track on Google Earth.
I’ve had some feed back regarding my translation into other languages. The translation is not as good as it should be, let me know how the French and German translation is and I will correct.

logitPPL has launched as a paid app - 99 cent
logitPPL launched yesterday as an unrestricted paid app. If you have been using the Lite version, you can import the backup-file.
I've added a license check. This prevents copies of the app from being hacked, circulated and used without payment. The app is only 99 cent so it wouldn’t be worth hacking. I implemented it more for a tutorial or learning exercise for myself.
Let me know how you get on and keep the feed-back coming.
I hope to release a desk top version over the next few weeks. This will allow you to synchronise data with the Android app. It will contain more graphing features and I hope to add reporting to PDF files.

logitPPL Lite v1.6 - custom filter
I've added a custom filter to allow users set their own start date and end date for filtering log entries.
I've also added a German translation.
Thanks to all those that are using this app. There has been a good response from England, France, Spain and Germany. I will add other translations if there is a demand. If my/googles translations are not good let me know.
I hope to release the unrestricted version some time soon, within the next week, for €0.99 cent.

logitPPL Lite - 1.5 released today - Uses the Android Wheel by kankan
I liked the look and feel of the Android Wheel and thought it would work in my app. I've used it for the flight date, depart time and arrival time fields. If the feed back is good I might use it for other fields.
I changed the layout of the main page from tabs to a grid layout.
Added translation for Spanish.
